Razer's new gaming mouse, the  Spectre , has a new programmable feature that hasn't been seen before. Specifically designed for StarCraft 2 but eventually extensible to other games, the Spectre has the ability to be configured to react with your gameplay and change colors and flash to signal different alerts. The interface allows you to define color and flash counts tied to events like "under attack" and "low on resources", which should better help you break focus while working your strategy. Hoping to cure the critical pitfalls of RTS games of this ilk, the alert system keeps you from missing Zerg rush tactics on your hard fought territory. This is essentially the same system implemented on the  Marauder gaming keyboard  announced on the same day. The actual mouse functions are the usual pinnacle of the gaming world that you have come to expect from Razer. Specially designed Teflon feet and an optical sensor capable of 5600 dpi top out the charts for this glowing peripheral. 5 programmable buttons with adjustable force settings allow you to compensate for your light touch or button mashing style and tailor to your liking. Once it becomes available you'll only have to pay $80 for this unique mouse. Actual release date is still unknown but you shouldn't have to wait too long.
